A recent report by the nonprofit Organic Center (organic-center.org) found that on average, organic plant based foods are 25% more nutrient-dense than conventionally raised foods. Since organic foods are pricy (as are all foods now) choose the foods which, when not organic have the most pesticide residue: peaches, apples, sweet bell pepper, celery, nectarines, strawberries, cherries, lettuce, imported grapes, pears, spinach, and potatoes. Stay away from the pesticides–they are not a good thing.
